Sofia Reppou obtained her MSc degree from the Psychology department of Sheffield University and her Degree from the Psychology department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She completed her degree training at the psychiatry of Leros, Greece.  She holds a certification in Management, Strategy and Marketing from the University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki. She has worked as a counsellor supporting repatriated Greeks and immigrants from the former USSR countries in vocational seminars organised by Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1996) and as a volunteer counsellor at Diavata prison of Thessaloniki (2007) under the auspices of ARSIS NGO. She was engaged for several years in managerial positions at Vodafone Telecommunications and has extended experience in project management as well as human resource management.  She is a research associate at the Laboratory of Medical Physics with extended experience in European and National Projects. She has recently started her PhD in Palliative care at the University of Leeds in collaboaration with AUTH. Her research interests include the areas of paliative care, new technologies supporting the QoL of chronic patients, well being and ageing wel and people at risk of exclusion. She is an active volunteer supporting refugees and immigrants in Thessaloniki since 2016.
