Panagiotis Emmanouil Kartsidis, was born in Xanthi, Greece in 1986. He holds a BSc in Mathematics and a MSc in Medical Computer Science. He is a Ph.D. candidate at the School of Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). Following his MSc, he joined the Neuroscience of Affection and Cognition group (NCA) based at the Lab of Medical Physics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) as a research associate. He spent a summer in Cyprus working on electrotomography under Dr. Andy Ioannides. Upon his return, he joined Neurofeedback Center of Northern Greece to assist on a 21-month project, funded by the EC research grants. He also worked at BRAINWAVE research project, implementing BCI technology for people with spinal cord injury. Currently he works at the SmokeFreeBrain Project, also funded by the EC research grants. His research interests and experience are on the fields of statistics, EEG, biomedical engineering and signal processing. Additionally to his research, he is the instructor of the cryptology course at CTY-Greece.
