Maria Karagianni graduated from the Department of Psychology of the Aristotle University in 2008. She completed her postgraduate studies in Cognitive and Neuropsychology at the equivalent master's in psychology department of the Aristotle University in 2013 with grade of "Excellent". It is in the process of completing the educational training in cognitive behavioral psychotherapy (CBT) in the Greek Society Research and Behaviour. She worked voluntarily from 2010 to 2011 in the Greek Alzheimer organization conducting neuropsychological test control and participating in rehabilitation programs and research projects. As part of her Master‘s she made a practice training in G Neurology department of the Papanikolaou Hospital at Thessaloniki. Part of the training was to conduct neuropsychological tests and participation in research protocols on EEG and TMS. At the same time participated in standardization of the Greek version of the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS). Also from 2010 she participates in the Medical Physics Laboratory of AUTH in research programs which were about mild cognitive impairment, depression and education in the elderly. Finally, she is a scientific associate of the Laboratory of Clinical Neurophysiology at the University Hospital AXEPA.
