Seniors

Are you between 60-90 years old and curious about how the mind works?

We are looking for participants for the Medical Physics Laboratory.

Sessions usually take place on the Aristotle University campus in Thessaloniki at the Medical Physics Laboratory, either at our fully operational multimodal neurophysiological recordings lab or at the active and health aging living lab/e-home for citizens monitoring (see a typical session)

A typical experiment may involve non-invasive EEG recordings or unobtrusive monitoring while performing activities of daily living (e.g. wash hands, prepare a meal, eating/drinking, dish washing, TV watching, smart TV activity, physical activity, tablet activity, phone call, internet surfing, blood pressure measurement) and light physical exercise in the context of exergames. There are no medications or invasive procedures involved.

The participant must be a native Greek speaker, totally or partially independent in activity of daily living, living by his/her own in the community. For instance, a senior who lives alone in his/her home, is socially active, not technophobe, may experience mild memory problems, and is willing to perform mild physical exercise.
